- Applications are invited from unmarried / divorcee / widow without encumbrance female candidates, which Prospectus is obtainable from the office of School of Nursing, GTB Hospital on payment of Rs. 800/- (Rs. Eight hundred only) by Demand Draft payable at Delhi, drawn in favour of Medical Superintendent, GTB Hospital from any nationalized bank; from 01.05.14 to 28.05.14 between 10:00 AM to 1:00 P.M. (Monday to Friday except Gazetted Holidays). Application form is downloadable from hospital website : http://gtbh.delhigovt.nic.in & to be submitted along with prescribed Demand Draft.
- Last date for submission of application form - 30.05.2014 up to 3:00 P.M. in office of school of nursing, GTBH, Delhi.
- Available Seats - 70 (inclusive of reservation as per rule).

Eligibility : Candidates must fulfill all the following Qualification / Conditions -
- The candidates must have passed / appeared in 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board / university with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of 10+2 (best five subjects. 5% relaxation for candidates belong to SC/ST category). Candidates must produce their original 10+2 original pass certificate at the time of counseling.

Any four subjects including English (Three subjects + English) from the list given below will be considered for entrance examination. Also, candidate must have passed in all subjects of 10+2. (Five subjects as per CBSE policy).
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English, Commerce, Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies, Computer science/ Informatics practice/ Word processing/ Multimedia, History, Geography, Civics, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Home Science. ANM course 10+2, recognized by INC (See prospectus for details). - Age Limit : 17 to 30 years as on 31.12.2014. (5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates).
- The candidate should be medically fit.
- Entrance test - 20.07. 2014 time 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon.
- Declaration of result - 24.07.2014 at 4:0 P.M. School of Nursing, GTB Hospital and hospital website.
- Counseling will commence from 31.07.2014 at 9:00 A.M.

Regular admission for Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery training programme shall commence from 1st August 2014 for duration of 3 ½ years inclusive of six month internship. It is a residential training programme.

Minimum Qualification :
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board / university with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of 10+2 (best five subjects).

List of the subjects to be considered for admission is given below. Any four subjects including English (three subjects + English) from the list given below shall be considered for admission. Candidate must have passed in all subjects of 10 + 2 (five subjects as per C.B.S.E. policy).

Those who have passed 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001). ANM training that is 10 + 1½ years of training from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council should also have passed + 2 or its equivalent examination. Candidates from other vocational courses are not entitled for applying to GNM course. - Relaxation of 5% marks shall be granted to candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

Age :
Minimum and maximum age for admission shall be 17 and 30 years respectively as on 31.12.2014. (5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates). For ANM / LHV no age bar. - Only unmarried / divorcee or widow without encumbrance female candidates need apply.
- Candidate must be declared medically fit by the medical board of the G.T.B. Hospital.
- Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Distribution of Seats :
- Delhi : 85% seats are reserved for candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from Delhi out of it 5% seats are reserved for destitute candidates nominated / sponsored by Director of Social Welfare Dept. GNCT. If destitute eligible candidate is not available then seat will be offered to general category.

Outside Delhi : 15% seats are reserved for candidates who have passed 10+2 / its equivalent examination from outside Delhi.
Note : The criterion for deciding the region of the candidates who have passed / appeared in the qualifying examination through Patrachar Vidhyalayas, Delhi, National Institute of Open School Delhi is whether centre of examination was / is located in the NCT of Delhi. - Seats for General category remain constant.
- Seats reserved for OBC candidates and remaining unfilled for want of eligible candidate may be filled up from eligible general category candidates in same year.

Reservation for SC / ST / OBC :
15% of seats are reserved for SC candidate, 7.5% of seats are reserved for ST candidate & 27% of seats are reserved for OBC candidates. Caste certificate should be issued in the name of candidate by competent authority at the time of applying, if not the candidate shall not be entitled for the benefit of reservation.

A candidate seeking admission to the 3 ½ years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery course shall submit an application on the prescribed form (Annexure - 1) attached with prospectus obtainable from the office of School of Nursing, GTB Hospital, Dilshad Garden, Delhi on payment of Rs. 800/- (Rupees Eight hundred in Demand Draft) drawn in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of "Medical Superintendent, G.T.B. Hospital, Delhi, payable at Delhi" from any nationalized bank. Application form can also be downloaded from hospital website (http://gtbh.delhigovt.nic.in) which can be submitted at the Office of School of Nursing, GTBH along with payment in Demand Draft.
- APPLICATION FORM should be submitted in original.
- Application form should be duly filled in own handwriting.
Attachments with Application Form :
- Three identified and identical recent passport size photographs (with name and date, not before January 2014). One affixed on the application form two on admit card (as per sample given).
- Destitute candidate should submit a sponsorship letter from Director, Department of Social Welfare Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
- Self attested copy of 10th and 10 + 2 class passing certificate issued by respective board / university.
- Self attested copy of Mark Sheet of 10th and 10 + 2 class issued by respective board / university.
- Self attested copy of Character and conduct certificate from the Principal of last school / college attended or gazetted officer.
- Self attested copy of the certificate from the competent authority in case of SC / ST / OBC candidate. The certificate should be in the name of candidate seeking admission.
- Those who has completed ANM course (10+2 vocational) (Revised after 2001) from school recognized by I. N. C. are eligible to apply and should furnish a copy of certificate from school principal regarding recognition of school by I. N. C.
- Candidate who has appeared for 10 +2 Examination 2014 and candidates from Patrachar Vidhyalayas, Delhi National Institute of Open School Delhi must attach copy of admit card and submit mark sheet at the time of admission.
- Self addressed envelop with postal stamp of Rs. 40/-.
Candidate shall be selected strictly on the basis of Merit in entrance test and eligibility criteria as mentioned.

About Common Entrance Test :
The subject matter of the entrance test will be based on the syllabus of secondary and Sr. Secondary (10+2). The Entrance test will be of 100 marks of MCQ's. More weight age will be given to science subjects to prefer science candidates.

Fundamentals of Physics - 15, Fundamentals of Chemistry - 15, Fundamentals of Biology -15, General Health-15, English - 20, General Awareness- 10, Fundamentals of Maths-10.
Each MCQ will have four (4) alternatives/ choices. There will be only one correct answer. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking. Darken the correct answer from the options.
Note :
If roll number/ admit card is not received by post latest by 16.07.14 then a duplicate admit card / roll number can be collected by the eligible candidate personally from the school office on 17.07.14 up to 3:00 P.M. Bring one passport size identified photograph.

- Counseling shall be strictly on the merit assessed through Entrance test.
- The number of candidates called for counseling shall be generally three times of seats available in each category.
- A list of the candidates for counseling shall be displayed on the Notice Board of School of Nursing on the stipulated date and time. Only listed candidates shall be considered for counseling.
- Declaration of vacant seats if available shall be displayed on notice board of school of Nursing and website on the stipulated date and time.
- The next counseling shall commence from rank one onwards for all categories, such candidates, who were absent in the first /previous counseling will also be permitted to attend the second / next counseling.
